Ryston Mile Race 2016

On Monday night Ryston Athletes turned out to take part in the Yearly ran Internal Club Mile Race, an addition on the night was a Half Mile Race for the Younger Juniors.

First home in the Male Race, taking home the Andy Digweed Trophy for a second year running was Callum Stamforth running a time of 4:38.8. Second was Adam Matthews (4:56.7) and Third was Malcolm Tuff (4:58.5). A full list of Mens Results is below.

First in Female Race was Kate Willis, running 5:31.5. Second was Annie Rooks (5:40.3) and Third was Mel Reed (6:05.6). Full list of female results are below.

There was 3 people above the 80% Age Grade Mark. Both Kate Willis (82.03%) & Nic Bensley (80.58%) we over 80, but the highest Age Grade and winner of the Highest Age Grade Trophy was Malcolm Tuff with an Age Grade Rating of 86.1%.

In the Junior Mile The Top 4 Boys all dipped under 3 minutes for the 800m with James Smith winning (2:53.0), Thomas Turner taking second (2:56.1) and Oliver Davis in third (2:57.1). In the Girls Matilda Loram won in a time of 3:23.6, second was Ella Matthews (3:31.1) and third was Sophie Doig (3:37.1).

English Schools

Norfolk Schools early this week announced their squad to take to English Schools. In this Squad for English Schools is Hannah Brown selected for the 400m in the Senior Girls.

Kate Willis has been selected as a reserve for the Championships in the Junior Girls 800m.
