3rd July Weekly Report

This weekend was a quiter weekend then the past couple of weekends. There was Juniors performing well in the EYAL in Sandy, Holkham 10km & Bungay 10km.

Eastern Young Athletics League - Sandy

Ryston had 6 junior athletes take part in the EYAL on Sunday at Sandy. In the Under 15 Girls Safffron Teasdale had an excellent day, setting new personal bests in all three events. She ran 3.07.6 minutes in 800m, 3.28m in Long Jump and 14.28m in Discus. Also in the Under 15 Girls was Thea Howlett, throwing a new PB and increasing the distance of her club record in the Javelin with a throw of 31.18, also threw over 8m in Shot Put.

In the Under 13 Girls Bea Honeybone won the B-String Long Jump (3.77m) and Shot Put (5.85m), also she threw over 11m in Javelin. Mia Moore was 4th in the 800 (2.44.0mins) and 100m (15.4secs). Lily Teasdale jumped a new pb in the Long Jump (2.80m), also competed well in the 100 (16.6secs) and 70m Hurdles (16.1secs).

Rob MacQueen was third in the Under 15 Boys 100m (13.5secs). He also ran 29.3 in the 200m.

Outlaw Holkham 10k

Ryston Runners had 4 athletes take part in the Outlaw Holkham 10k. Julia Norman was 2nd Women 40 in a time of 48:47. The first Ryston home was Gareth Hunt who finished 16th. Other Ryston Runners taking part was Sarah Kimberley (52.38) and Ayisha Cain (54.42).

Bungay 10k

On Wednesday Evening Eamon McCusker took part in the Bungay 10k, running a time of 46:38.

Other News

- News from last week was that Hannah Brown improved her Personal Best and Club Record in the 400m at the Youth Development League at Crawley. She dipped under 59 seconds for the First Time (58.9secs). Both Hannah and Kate Willis travel to Gateshead on Friday to take part in the English Schools Track and Field Championships.

- Over in the states Callum Stanforth took part in a park run in a San Fransisco, and won it whilst wearing the club colours.
